Spoiler alert: This book is bloody brilliant.

I have long been a fan of Sarah Knight and would definitely recommend you check out all her other amazing books, but if you are anything like me and need to learn to care significantly less about things you don’t enjoy, this book is for you.

I have said it time and time again, I am a people pleaser. No isn’t a word I use very often, and I live in constant fear of letting people down. I’m not usually one for self-help style books however this was recommended to me by a friend for its edgy nature and straight to the point writing style and I was not let down in the slightest.

This book is both irreverent and practical and doesn’t cut corners when it comes to the hard truths of life. Knight comes across as funny and personable and it will have you laughing out loud at the sheer relatability of it whilst also making you revaluate the many choices you have made purely to please people.

From family dramas to having a bikini body, this book covers everything in a matter of fact and 'NotSorry Method'.

I found after reading it I was prioritising myself, learning to say no and checking if I had any f**ks left to give!

My personal favourite chapter is ‘Making a f**k budget’ which explores implementing a budget for how many f**ks you’re going to give in a day and sticking to it. Knight uses the brilliant analogy of saving up to buy something from a shop and how good it feels when you finally purchase that one thing. In that moment you don’t care about how many things you have sacrificed in order to buy it because you are happy and you feel fulfilled. Now take that same analogy and replace buying something with giving a f**k. Clever no?

It is evident why this book is an international best seller. Written in a comedic, informal, and anecdotal style you feel like Knight is talking to you as a friend throughout. Usually I would find sayings like ‘life-affirming’ slightly dramatic but with this book it fits exactly right.

If you want to learn how to stop saying yes to things you don’t care about, how to stop stressing over things that mean nothing and how to implement the best f**k budget ever, this one is for you!

Get ready to re-assess every decision you’ve made and become a more confident, decisive version of you.
